How #Telemarketing Can Work For Your Business

B2B #telemarketing can work for your business

Even though B2B email and direct mail have been more popular than traditional telemarketing in recent years, there’s nothing wrong with ringing up a potential client and trying to make a new connection to find new customers.

Even though Business to Business telemarketing has become less popular than direct mail in recent years, it can be very beneficial to telephone a potential client to build a relationship with a view to converting them into a future customer. Telemarketing is much more personal than an email or direct mail and as such it is harder to ignore. When you try telemarketing you may be surprised at how effective it can be in comparison to just send out e mails to potential clients.

Use the correct techniques
The most important part of any telemarketing campaign is the telemarketing staff. They are the ones who project the image of your company and will try to earn a customer’s trust and future business.  It is critical to ensure they are properly trained, know your business and how your product or service can assist your customer. They should be knowledgeable about any new products or updates and able to explain clearly the benefits. Keeping a friendly tone is also key. Being polite, able to build a rapport and the ability to connect with customers will aid a successful campaign

Telemarketing is a great alternative to other marketing strategies it allows you to connect with potential clients immediately rather than waiting days or weeks for a response. From the moment a telemarketer picks up the phone they are able to converse with a potential customer in real time and hear about their immediate concerns and problems within their business.

Sending an email or direct mail campaign is a great way to attract new clients but it is essential to follow up any campaign material with a marketing call. All too often one finds your important e mail has been deleted without being read and one telephone call to the recipient can bring it directly to their attention.

Telemarketing is effective because no matter what your geographical location the results are just as effective.

Mailing a postcard from your business at one end of the country to your prospective client at the opposite end may take some time a telephone call is much more immediate.

This highlights the immediate advantages of how telemarketing is more advantageous by connecting straight away rather than waiting for a prospect to respond.

It only takes a few seconds to make a good impression on your customer but it can take them a number of days or weeks to come to a final decision or think up some new questions that they have not asked.

By telemarketing you can answer their queries and make the sale or appointment before they forget to contact you and purchase elsewhere. Calling them to check on their decision can be a great way to build that relationship and make them feel valued.

Finally always remember the golden rule. If the person says they are not interested don’t push it. All you may do is alienate a potential future customer. Far better to leave on good terms and call again at some time in the future …. And last of always be polite.

Stop Start Marketing Pitfalls

Lincoln, Newark, Nottingham, Telemarketing, Teleservices | No Comments

Too many people use a stop/start approach to telemarketing. They canvass when work dries up then stop when work picks up. The problem with this approach is that there will usually be a delay between the time you start telemarketing and the development of new business.
To get the best results out of your telemarketing, you need to be continually ringing new contacts and at the same time ringing existing prospects so you’re gently nudging them along and developing their trust. Many marketers follow a 90-day cycle and contact all their prospects regularly every three months. At some point you need to decide when it’s no longer productive to keep ringing someone and when to put that time and energy into developing new contacts instead.
This decision needs to be based on the information that you gain and data that you develop from monitoring and measuring your results – listen to your intuition. When you analyse the number of calls made if it is found that no sales have been closed by the fifth or subsequent call, why keep on calling? By skipping the fifth call and making new calls instead, sale can increase by up to 28 per cent in a month. On the other hand by being persistent you may gain that lucrative client!

Business 2 Business Telemarketing V Business to Consumer Telemarketing

Business 2 Business Telemarketing V Business to Consumer Telemarketing
Many companies are now targeting business to business leads rather than targeting business to consumer transactions. Businesses prefer to attract the interest of manufacturing targets due to the number of purchasing transactions that are required prior to a finished product reaching just a handful of consumers. The simple way to reach these organisations is with the aid of B2B telemarketing.
To understand this better consider a manufacturer who sells his finished products to consumers. He will need to make several purchases of individual materials or components prior to producing one completed item. After making all his purchases, one completed unit will only result in one B2C transaction but the manufacturer will have conducted several B2B transactions to achieve this,
To maximize their B2B leads businesses often turn to lead generation and appointment setting companies to promote their services. These telemarketing organisations gather quality leads for their client’s marketing campaigns and gather new interest for the business. The use of telemarketing allows a business to keep long lasting relationships with their existing clientele and also create new leads.
Benefits of outsourcing your business 2business telemarketing include:-
1. Acquisition of expertise;-
The staff of quality telemarketing organisations are fully trained and accessing these skills can make a business lead generation campaign more successful.

2. Cost effective and cost efficient services;-
Cost effective and cost efficient services are both benefits that a B2B telephone marketing company can offer and it is worth understanding the difference of these two benefits.

A cost effective service means that whatever you have paid to outsource your campaign to a telemarketing company, you will get more back in return.

A cost efficient service means that when you outsource your campaign you are able to reduce your spending on in house resources.

3. Expansion of your client database;-
Another benefit of outsourcing your lead generation campaign to a telemarketing company is that they are not limited to the businesses within your current client sector. Unless instructed differently they will take a wider view and contact businesses from other target sectors achieving increased development in wider markets.
Finally and perhaps most importantly the aim of outsourcing your telemarketing requirement is to acquire more long-term business and relationships with your clients. The flow of information for lead acquisition should always be smooth in order for your businesses to expand and increase your income.
